Overview
A comprehensive analysis of the U.S. electric vehicle market, evaluating adoption rates and market share across states.
Problem
Raw vehicle registration data on its own doesn't reveal where EV adoption is accelerating or lagging, making it hard to prioritize infrastructure investment and charging network expansion.
Approach
SQL and Excel were used for data extraction, cleaning and preparation, performing market share calculations, percentage distributions and state-level comparisons to turn raw registration data into clear, actionable insights.
Results
EV penetration by state was analyzed to identify leading and lagging markets and assess alternative fuel usage, generating insights to support infrastructure planning, investment prioritization and strategic decision-making around EV adoption and charging network expansion.
